We finally got the balloon in the air this morning! It was not part of the rally, but today, the weather was beautiful and the ground had dried out enough to drive through. We set up on the West side of town, near campus, and flew across town and out to the East side of Macomb. Pictured is Lindsay, Donn (the pilot) and my mom, Anne. They actually went up in today's flight, while the rest of us "chased" in the vehicle.After the flight we all went out to breakfast at the Macomb Family Diner in town. It was great to spend some quality time together discussing anything and everything. After we finished eating, we said our good byes and headed home. It was a slightly disappointing weekend, made better by a wonderful morning flight today. We're so glad that Donn and Kim could make the trip this year and we look forward to seeing them again soon!
